Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Otto Ivan Ron and Consul General of Hungary in Almaty Ferenc Blaumann, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting the parties discussed issues of further cooperation and expansion of strategic partnership between KazNU and Hungarian universities. Having welcomed the distinguished guests, Zhanseit Tuimebayev put forward a number of specific proposals.
"We express our readiness to develop partnership with Hungarian universities. We support initiatives aimed at expanding fruitful cooperation and interaction. In this connection, I would like to voice our proposals. It is necessary to develop joint educational programmes with partner Hungarian universities, to hold offline, online conferences to exchange experiences in the context of the introduction and development of advanced methods of teaching and research.
We also propose to conduct joint scientific research on topical areas of science and innovation development, jointly organise exhibitions, scientific conferences, scientific seminars and other cultural events. In addition, it is necessary to develop joint scientific projects to participate in international grant competitions," the head of the university stressed. In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Otto Ivan Rona supported initiatives of Zhanseit Konseitovich and expressed readiness to increase cooperation with Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.
"We support your specific proposals. And I, for my part, wanted to voice my ideas as well. I propose to create joint research centres and work further in this direction", - said Otto Ivan Rona. At the end of the meeting the parties exchanged commemorative gifts.
