The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy summed up the results of the open creative contest of team projects among students of secondary schools "Tugan zher – tugyrym, tugan zher – otanym", Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The contest aims to involve students in scientific research to preserve and popularise the cultural and historical heritage of the people through the study of important pages of the history of their home town and its historical personalities.
More than 400 students aged 12-17 from all regions of Kazakhstan participated in the creative contest and submitted 142 projects. In their videos, participants shared materials about the historical attractions of their cities and villages, showed the beauty of local natural landscapes, told about the history of their families and ancestors, and acquainted with the famous natives of their settlements.
It is gratifying that our contest attracted so many active, talented, creative young people who are interested in the history of their native land and are proud of their compatriots. I think participation in the contest contributed not only to the deepening of historical, geographical and ethnographic knowledge of schoolchildren but also to the aesthetic development of the personality of each contestant, the ability to work collectively, the disclosure of creative opportunities, the development of an active and responsible life position and, of course, patriotism," said Deputy Director of the Library of Elbasy Botagoz Kaipova, opening the award ceremony.
The event were also attended by the teacher of Astana IT University, Doctor of historical sciences, Professor Nurbek Shayakhmetov and a writer, screenwriter, director, graduate of the New York Academy of Film Arts, scholarship holder of the Bolashak International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidie Aidarbekov.
All regions of Kazakhstan represented the geography of the participants, and the works were sent to the contest by students of both large cities and small villages. The award ceremony was held online and offline.
In the age category of 12-14, the places were as follows:
Nomination "Native land":
1st place – Abilov Dimash, Zhamishev Madiyar, Zhumanova Dilnaz, Serikbayeva Shattyk, Ulaskanova Aisha (Kyzylorda region, Karmakshinsky district, secondary school No. 272);
2nd place – Kirill Kaminsky, Anel Urazbaeva, Amir Balgazin (Aktobe region, Kargalinsky district, Badamshinskaya secondary school No. 1);
3rd place – Bakytzhan Akseri, Adilbekova Aselia, Amangeldy Ainura (Turkestan region, Sairam district, Dostyk secondary school).
Nomination "Historical figures of my home town":
1st place – Zhanabek Ayaulym, Kaldybai Nurislam, Manatbekova Mayra, Kemenger Ramadan (Turkestan region, Ordabasinsky district, Yntaly village, K.Bektayev Secondary School);
3rd place – Molikhanov Inkarzhan, Molikhanov Yerkezhan, Yertargyn Aliya (East Kazakhstan region, Abai district, secondary school of the village of Karauyl);
Nomination "My family tree":
1st place - Madina Amangeldina (East Kazakhstan region, Abai district, secondary school of the village of Karauyl);
2nd place – Sagynysh Orazbai (Kyzylorda region, Syrdarya district, school-lyceum No. 129);
3rd place – Inkar Ergazykyzy (East Kazakhstan region, Semey, secondary school No. 3).

1st place - Zhantileuov Alibi, Yerzhanova Akbota (West-Kazakhstan region, Sarykol village, Abai secondary school);
2nd place - Myrzagali Simbaev, Dauletkerey Suleiman, Merey Kydirman (Mangistau region, Munayli district, Daulet village, secondary school №4).
In addition, Akizhanova Aida, Dulentsov Alexander (Karaganda region, Osakarovka village, gymnasium No. 9), as well as Marzhan Asylbekkyzy, Amandyk Nurlankyzy, Gausar Nurlankyzy (Kyzylorda region, Aral district, Kosaman village, school No. 68) were awarded special nominations "Zhuzden Juirik" and "Auylym – altyn besigim", respectively.
The winners and prizewinners were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
