In Florence, the Kazakh delegation met with the local government and heads of large enterprises of the Italian region of Tuscany, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Opening the event, Daniele Matteini, President of Confindustria Toscana Nord, emphasized the high interest of the Italian business in cooperation with Kazakhstan. In particular, according to him, at present all conditions exist for diversification of the investment partnership structure from the energy sector to the processing industries.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Zeineshev informed the participants about the measures of state support in priority sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including through investment contracts.
Giuseppe Salvini, Secretary General of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, taking into account the high interest of the Italian side, offered to hold both country and industry presentations of investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, as well as to organize the economic mission of Italian companies to visit the regions of Kazakhstan.
“Based on the results of today's meeting, we have identified a number of high synergy industries in which it is planned to implement joint projects. We are talking about the engineering sector (including agricultural machinery), food production, as well as various areas of light industry. Our task is to attract a new wave of Italian companies to the manufacturing sectors of the Kazakh economy”, said Zhandos Temirgali, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC.
In addition, as part of the visit, there was a visit to the Gozzini leather processing plant. The company’s President Francesco Turini acquainted the Kazakh delegation with the enterprise’s activities, noting the high interest in the joint development of the manufacturing industry in Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that this event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Italy together with the General Confederation of Italian Industry Confindustria, uniting about 150 thousand enterprises.
