Today, we all live in a dynamic, rapidly changing world. The changes are taking place in all spheres of society. Hence, there is a need to use new approaches in solving particular tasks.
The generation Z (Zoomers) is the first generation born and raised during the times of globalization and postmodernism, which has experienced a series of crises the most.
If life, with its crazy pace and tension, does not allow a person to rejoice, then it is necessary to switch attention to the most important thing. Therefore, it is essential to make specific changes and innovations, even if it concerns the state's Basic Law.
A republican referendum will be held on June 5 this year, determining the other vector of the country's development.
Amendments and additions to the Constitution are based on citizens' needs and are carried out in the interests of society. Therefore, it is important that all these changes are discussed by the people and will be adopted in a referendum.
Given that a referendum is the most democratic method of direct expression of the will of citizens, we can confidently say that the constitutional reform will expand opportunities for citizens to participate in the governance of the country. We will vote for fair "rules of the game" and a fair Kazakhstan at the referendum.
The constitutional reform is aimed at a comprehensive transformation of the entire state model and covers the main aspects of life.
Now the land will not be state property but the people's property. This is an important point concerning the ownership of land.
The transition from a super–presidential model to a presidential republic, the creation of the institution of the Constitutional Court, as well as a significant expansion of the rights of the lower house of Parliament, which will have enough powers to control the government and the course of budget spending - these and other edits were waiting for the people of Kazakhstan.
Society is waiting for concrete steps, so the referendum is needed not by the government but, first of all, by the people.
In general, it should be emphasized that the package of amendments includes the norms necessary for implementing the political initiatives expressed in the Message by K.K.Tokayev and requiring adjustments to the Constitution.
The referendum consolidates society, which is necessary for implementing strategic initiatives, and the country's leadership to respond quickly to urgent problems, even in crises.
Now Kazakhstan has begun the transition to a qualitatively new interaction model between institutions of power and a new political culture. The mechanism for protecting the rights of citizens is being strengthened, which will lead to greater accountability of officials for the quality of the acts they pass.
The upcoming referendum will allow every citizen to take a direct part in the historical event that will determine the future of Kazakhstan. I believe that every citizen of Kazakhstan should take part in the referendum and make his or her choice in favor of a new prosperous Kazakhstan.
