Madi Atamkulov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia, visited Vega ADM, the Serbian flour mill, located in the village of Chenta, Sredne-Banatsky district of Serbia, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Due to the joint efforts of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Kostanay region, since the spring of 2022, Mibeko, Kazakhstan company has carried out the first three deliveries of buckwheat to Serbia for the Vega ADM factory. It produces powdered and granular products, as well as various types of whole grain flour, totaling more than 65 product types.
In March this year the delivery of samples of domestic buckwheat was organized and the results of laboratory tests showed excellent quality indicators.
“After examining Kazakhstan buckwheat, we were convinced of its excellent characteristics and were glad to start a new cooperation. Initially, on our own initiative, we addressed the Embassy of Kazakhstan, and the fact that the diplomatic mission accompanied the whole process and gave us its recommendations on the Kazakh company gave us complete confidence in reliability” Anjelko Gavrilovich, the head of the Serbian company Vega ADM
According to Mirzamukim Kadyrov, a representative of the Mibeko LLP company in Kostanay, their company was previously engaged in exporting products to Ukraine, but due to the outbreak of hostilities, it lost external sales:
“For us, the exporting of buckwheat and other products is of great importance, since there are still available sufficient reserves from the last year's harvest. The events in Ukraine practically caught us off balance. However, unexpectedly, we got a call from the foreign economic department of the Akimat of the Kostanay region and received an offer to organize export to Serbia. This was a real support, and very timely for us” Mirzamukim Kadyrov, representative of the Mibeko LLP company in Kostanay
“Earlier, we used to purchase buckwheat from Russian companies, but since March of this year, a ban on food exports has been introduced in the Russian Federation, and new suppliers were needed for our production process. Therefore, we discovered Kazakhstan for ourselves, and we are very happy about this. In addition to the quality, we were also satisfied with the offered price for the goods. As of now, we have already accepted three twenty-tonne trucks from Kazakhstan. We are waiting for more” Anjelko Gavrilovich
“Negative factors emerging one after another in the world have become a challenge for both businesses and households, as well as for people around the world. In this regard, the Head of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev, on various platforms within the country and abroad, has repeatedly emphasized that the efforts of the state must be subordinated to the moral imperative that the interests of the people are above all. Therefore, support for exporters in the regions of Kazakhstan is one of the priorities of economic diplomacy and the practice of the embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is important to help to find export alternatives for those who, for some reason, have lost their established and familiar markets in other countries” Madi Atamkulov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia
In addition, according to the Ambassador, export support today in the conditions of complicated processes is important because the direct inflow of foreign exchange incomes to domestic companies contributes to their stability, and this has a positive effect on the country's economy as a whole.
