In early June 2025, after a five-year break, Dimash once again captivated the discerning audience of London with his performance at the world-renowned OVO Arena Wembley. This time, the People's Artist of Kazakhstan appeared as a special guest in the show of the celebrated Canadian-Belgian singer Lara Fabian - winner of the World Music Awards - and also took time to meet with his fans who had traveled from all over the world to see him in the UK capital. DK Media Europe’s special correspondents attended both events and are here to share their impressions.
London greeted us with its trademark unpredictable weather and vibrant, eye-soothing greenery. Excited crowds were streaming toward the OVO Arena Wembley in anticipation of the musical evening the legendary Lara Fabian was about to gift her British fans as part of her global "Voices" tour.
The hostess of the evening had prepared not only a powerful program but also a surprise for the audience - a guest whose elegant appearance on stage with a huge bouquet of scarlet roses was met with a standing ovation. And rightly so. Dimash had previously performed with Lara Fabian - many of her fans remembered the Kazakh vocalist from their 2019 performance of “Ti Amo Cosi” at the "Rhapsody on Ice" show in Moscow, dedicated to Maestro Igor Krutoy’s 65th birthday.
Lara Fabian’s interest in Dimash Kudaibergen's talent began back in 2017, during his participation in the Chinese singing competition I’m Singer. He moved her with his deeply emotional rendition of “S.O.S. d'un terrien en détresse” and his powerful interpretation of “Adagio,” a song whose lyrics were written by Lara herself. It was only fitting, then, that this very song was chosen by both artists for their duet in London.
“Tonight, I’m joined on stage by one of the most impressive, extraordinary, powerful, and otherworldly voices I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s such a gift to have him here with us tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, performing one of the most difficult songs, which he sings like no one else - please welcome Dimash!” Lara introduced her “exceptional” guest. And after the performance, she added: “This is the first time I’ve had the chance to sing Adagio with you, and I hope it won’t be the last.”
The evening left a lasting impression on the audience - and on Dimash himself, who later posted on Instagram:
"Adagio is more than just a song. It’s a dialogue between souls, where every note is filled with emotion and every word is a confession through music. It was a true honor to once again share the stage with the legendary Lara Fabian - an artist whose voice and spirit continue to inspire millions around the world. Every performance with her is a unique moment of connection, mutual respect, and love for music."
Dimash also expressed his gratitude to Lara Fabian and her team during a fan meeting held the next day at the Hilton Wembley:
“Performing on the same stage with Lara Fabian is a huge milestone for me, because she truly is a living legend. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Lara and her team for this opportunity. I was truly happy.”
His appearance with the iconic singer also served as a kind of rehearsal and introduction to the OVO Arena Wembley - where Dimash is set to hold his solo concert in November 2025. Naturally, fans asked about his preparation for the event. Dimash recalled:
“The first time was many years ago, in 2018. After I’m Singer in China, I held my first solo show in Europe, right here in London. Now a second concert is planned, and I’m ready to give it my all. Every day, from morning till night, I work hard on vocal training and dance. Together with my concert directors, I want to create something truly special.”

Preparing for large-scale concerts naturally involves a great deal of vocal discipline. During the fan meeting, someone asked if Dimash felt a personal connection to his voice - many musicians often treat their instruments as if they were living beings. For Dimash, however, his vocal cords are first and foremost muscles that require daily exercise. But then came a striking confession:
“My voice is not only my voice. It’s also your voice. It’s a tool, a medium that reminds people of all the good things we share - including a world without war.”
This led to a discussion of his original composition The Story of One Sky, which continues to move and inspire listeners around the world, reminding them of the importance of peace and staying true to one’s values.
“Let me tell you why I created this project. I felt it was the right time to remind people about the importance of a world without war. Maybe I sound like an old man - I’ve repeated this on many stages - but we must achieve peace. It’s important to talk about it more. When I came up with the idea for this project four or five years ago, I knew it wouldn’t be commercial, that I wouldn’t make money from it. But I would be fulfilling my mission - to remind people of peace. So I want to thank everyone who helped me bring this amazing project to life.”
The work took more than three years to complete, and even today, the result continues to resonate - unfortunately, its message is still as relevant as ever. The Story of One Sky is not Dimash’s only masterpiece; his discography features many other original songs beloved by fans. One of the most meaningful, he shared, is Omir (“Life”). Speaking about the song, Dimash revealed yet another side of his creativity - poetry.
“When I was a child, I used to write lots of poems, but no one saw them except my family. After all these years, I finally shared what was in my heart with a global audience. Thank you for your support! This song is about me, about my life, about all our lives.”
The strong creative energy of Dimash's fan community has become a phenomenon in its own right, and so DK Media Europe asked the singer what he thought of the fan-made art inspired by his music and voice.
“I think many of them were creative to begin with. I probably just gave them another reason to keep going. I’ve met fans who paint, sing, write poetry. A few even had tattoos of me - which I see as a form of self-expression. My Dears motivate me to create.”
Dimash’s creativity shines not only in his music but in the staging of his live shows. Fans saw this once again during a special screening of clips from his new concert film Stranger, shot during his 2024 tour in Astana and now showing in Kazakh cinemas. The film was directed by Galym Assylov, with whom Dimash has collaborated successfully for many years. One scene featured the premiere of a powerful new track, created with American composer and arranger Dmytro Gordon, which fans immediately nicknamed “Fire.”
Naturally, DK Media Europe couldn’t help but ask about what comes next for the song.
@Aigerim Kali
“Yes, I’m planning to shoot a music video for this song. It’s going to be something very special - something valuable. I already have ideas for how to do it, and I’ve chosen the director.”
We have a pretty good guess who that might be.
Dimash promised the music video would be even more extreme than the live performance of the song - where he stunned the audience with taekwondo moves and aerial acrobatics.
“If you come up with something exciting for the stage, you have to bring it to life. If, for whatever reason, you don’t, then you’re not doing your job 100 percent. I have a lot of extreme ideas in mind. My loved ones get upset with me because of it. And I understand them.”
His father, Kanat Aitbayev, was in the audience and could only shake his head as fans shouted: “We need you alive!”
But there’s no doubt Dimash will continue to be mindful of the people who care about him most. After all, he has never hidden the deep role his family plays in his life. When asked an online question about his upbringing, Dimash shared something very personal:
“My grandfather has passed away, but he taught me a lot. Every day at lunch, when we sat at the same table, he’d say: ‘You must be humble.’ So thank you to him. My father, my mother, my grandmother - they all said the same thing every day. I’m so grateful to them. Thanks to them, I had the chance from childhood to get a great musical education. I’ve grown a lot over the years, and I never stopped learning. I’m 31 now, but I’ve been studying music for more than 26 years. That was all possible because of my family. Thank you so much!”

At the very end of the fan meeting, the youngest participant - Kausar, the daughter of a diplomat living in London who helps fans learn the Kazakh language - asked Dimash about the future of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh language.
“If we want our country’s future to be bright - like a fairytale - we must start with ourselves. Together - you and we - we must take responsibility. The future of our country is in our hands. They say you shouldn’t resent the past - we must look forward with hope and walk boldly ahead. As for the future of the Kazakh language, it all depends on how much a person truly loves and values their native tongue. It begins with a personal choice. Every Kazakh should strive to speak Kazakh whenever possible. I don’t want to judge anyone, but as a Kazakh, I would love to see my peers, my compatriots, my brothers and sisters speak Kazakh fluently. That’s what I ask from our country - and from the Almighty. May our language live forever and continue to thrive. What could be better than being a son of a prosperous, developed, and civilized nation, and living a happy, fulfilled life?”
Two days full of emotion and memories passed in London like a fleeting moment, leaving a warm afterglow of love and sincerity. Less than five months remain before Dimash’s solo concert at OVO Arena Wembley. Based on our experience, we can confidently say the audience will witness not only a grand show - but a heartfelt, almost family-like atmosphere that arises only between kindred souls: the artist and his devoted fandom.
