On the occasion of the Day of the Capital of Kazakhstan, a scientific and practical conference «Nur-Sultan - the pearl of Eurasia, the capital of independent Kazakhstan» was held. The event was organized by the «Kazakhstan – Brazil» Friendship Forum, with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Center for Asian Studies of the Federal University of Fluminense, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
At the beginning of the conference, videos dedicated to the capital of Kazakhstan – Nur-Sultan and architectural features and attractions were shown to the audience.
Opening the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov spoke about the history and development of the capital of Kazakhstan. The Kazakh diplomat emphasized that today Nur-Sultan, which has become a symbol of the country and a successful platform for the implementation of political, economic, social initiatives of the country's leadership, is also actively strengthening its position as a center of international diplomacy.
Alexandre Santini, Secretary for Culture of the city of Niteroi, during his speech noted that the joint holding of the conference was an important initiative on the path of developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Alexandre Santini expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation, in particular, through the implementation of joint projects on cultural, youth and educational exchange.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil and the Secretariat for Culture of the city of Niteroi, which will give a significant impetus to the implementation of joint projects.
The Brazilian participants of the conference watched with particular interest a video dedicated to the capital of Kazakhstan, as well as a presentation on the architectural features and sights of the Kazakh capital.
As part of the celebration of the memorable date, a festive reception and a photo exhibition were also organized.
