Following Friday prayer, the meeting took place in the Grand mosque of the capital, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of interfaith dialogue in the world and highlighted the importance of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan.
The First President of Kazakhstan shared his memories of the course of establishment of relations between Kazakhstan and Egypt, including bilateral cooperation in the sphere of higher education.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also gave support to the key points of Ahmed Al-Tayeb’s speech at the Congress, having noted the urgency of fostering openness of dialogue between religious leaders.
