Kazakhstan strengthens trade relations with Asian and Pacific countries


On September 28-30, 2022, the Third Ministerial Conference on Regional Economic Cooperation and Integration of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is being held in Bangkok (Thailand), Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

At the conference, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev made a country statement on the agenda item «Ensuring sustainability through trade and investment for sustainable development during crises».

In his speech, K.Torebayev noted the indicators of Kazakhstan's foreign trade, stressed the potential for promoting exports to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, and also informed about the work on the formation of cross-border hubs.

In general, at the Conference jointly organized with UN ESCAP and the Asian Development Bank, ministers and high-ranking officials of UN ESCAP member countries discussed issues of strengthening regional and subregional cooperation.
