A solemn reception was held in the capital of Brazil on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Republic Day, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, the National Congress, heads of state bodies of Brazil, leading Brazilian companies, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Brazil, experts from academic institutions and local journalists.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov in his speech, noting the political reforms of the country's leadership on the systemic modernization of the state and society within the framework of the «New Kazakhstan» program, emphasized the irreversibility of the ongoing reforms to ensure economic growth, improve the welfare of citizens and further balanced, multi-vector and constructive foreign policy of Kazakhstan. The Ambassador also briefed the guests on plans for cooperation with Brazil as part of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
In his welcoming speech, the Secretary for Asia, the Pacific and Russia of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Eduardo Paes Saboia, congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Federal Government on Republic Day and praised the political and economic transformations in Kazakhstan. The Brazilian diplomat noted the progressive nature of the development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil and stressed the importance of further expanding and strengthening cooperation.
Warm congratulations to the people of Kazakhstan on the Day of the Republic sounded on the sidelines of the reception from the lips of well-known representatives of Brazilian business, society, science and culture.
The solemn event was given a national flavor by the Kazakh national cuisine, as well as videos demonstrating the natural and architectural sights of Kazakhstan.
