Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, addressed a video greeting to the attendees of the International Forum-Exhibition "Russian Industrialist" started on November 29 in St. Petersburg, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The Forum is one of the hallmark events of the year for the Eurasian Economic Union States. It is organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of St. Petersburg. This is an authoritative venue for discussions and consultations between representatives of the manufacturing industry and the business community and competent government bodies on the realities and development prospects in present-day conditions.
“The Union countries' manufacturing industry has been developing in a complex environment, especially in the last few years. Along with that, by joint efforts of the business community, governments and the Commission, we manage to ensure positive trends in developing the real economy of our countries. In the past nine months of this year, the EAEU industrial output exceeded the level of the corresponding period last year” Mikhail Myasnikovich
He has stressed that under current conditions, the role of cooperation is increasing and the Union countries have the required reserves therefor. According to the Head of the EEC Board, the Forum will help the Commission to develop additional mechanisms for modernizing primary industries and production.
“The Commission will be grateful to the Forum for its analysis and proposals for updating the EAEU industrialization map we have developed, which includes 158 projects in 25 industries totaling more than 270 bln US dollars. It would be nice to add new projects to the already implemented ones, including in the motor vehicle industry, machine tool industry, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, especially import-dependent ones" Mikhail Myasnikovich
The Chairman of the EEC Board has noted that the Eurasian Economic Commission will further promote business projects and support proposals aimed at developing the Union countries’ industrial potential.
