On December 19, the results of the annual prestigious award of the Association of Theater Critics of the Republic of Kazakhstan were announced in Almaty, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The Association of Theater Critics of Kazakhstan sent questions to all theaters of the country in a questionnaire designed to determine the results of the work done in theaters in 2022. It covers the issues of the creative process taking place in the theaters of our country, its direction, the policy in creating the repertoire, the arrival and reception of spectators to the performance, as well as the timely examination of this process - all the circle that arouses interest from the domestic and international theatrical community, professionals and official government bodies.
At the end of 2022, the Astana Ballet Theater was awarded the Critics' Prize in the following categories:
- "Ballet of the Year" – "The Silk Road" ballet by the chief choreographer of the theater Mukaram Avakhri to a libretto by Kazakhstani poet Bakhyt Kairbekov. Talented figures of art took part in the creation of the ballet performance: composers Armand Amar, Renat Gaissin, Vladimir Ivanoff, and Omar Faruk Tekbilek, costume designers Assel Shalabayeva and Dina Buksikova, stage designer Askar Iskakov, video artist Nurlan Kerei, and lighting designer Robert Dautov.;
- "Best Ballet Dancer" - leading soloist of the theater Tatyana Ten for the role of Eviridice in the play "Orpheus and Eurydice";
- "The best work with the media" - press secretary of the theater Liliya Kaliyeva.
