Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev took part in the opening ceremony of the tournament on strength sports ILYIN Iron Cup 2022. The first demonstration tournament was held in the Capital's Qazaqstan track and field sports complex, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Development of children, youth and mass sports is important for the formation of the personality of each individual and the implementation of social policy of the state. That is why, in our country, close attention is paid to this area at the highest level. Addressing the participants and guests of the tournament, Maulen Ashimbayev said that the issues of developing mass sports in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan has identified the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"The President of the country repeatedly emphasizes that it is necessary to pay the most serious attention to the health of the nation. It is important to give priority to mass sports, physical education and, of course, children's sports. The election program of Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev set the task to make free visits to sports sections available to every schoolchild. Today's sports festival is very important in terms of development and promotion of mass power sports" Said Maulen Ashimbayev, emphasizing that weightlifting and power sports have rich historical traditions in our country
Olympic champions Serik Sapiyev, Olga Rypakova and others also spoke at the opening ceremony of the tournament.
Note that the tournament brings together about 200 professional athletes from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries. They will fight for the right to be called the best in such disciplines as: weightlifting, powerlifting, armwrestling, crossfit, mass wrestling, kettlebell lifting, armlifting, walkout and strongman.
