Balloon Saga: What is it about this noise the U.S and China on air balloon?

2177

Upon its discovery in the U.S airspace, China has confirmed the balloon originated from it's territory and that it was a civilian weather monitoring device that missed it's way.

China in addition apologised to the U.S for the mistake but the western media kept overheating the issue as if the U.S sovereignty was breached. Aerial surveillance by satellites, drones and spy planes are being carried out by world military powers and the U.S being the biggest military power lead in such missions. Weather balloons do not have the capability for spying like satellites in orbit. If China, like other countries have satellites in space, then why would it use balloon to spy on the U.S territory?

The story doesn't just add up. Now that the U.S has shoot down the balloon into the ocean, let's hope the noise will die down for the world giants to resume their diplomatic dialogue; recall that the U.S secretary of state Anthony Blinken was scheduled to travel to Beijing to meet President Xi and his counterpart Qin Gang.

The visit supposed to be a follow-up dialogue from the Jakarta meeting of Presidents Xi and Biden on normalisation of ties between the two biggest economies. Meantime, no matter the outcome of the findings from the debris of the blown up balloon, let there be peace please. The world is still suffering from Ukrainian unnecessary war.
