The Ministers of Trade of Kazakhstan and Commerce of the People's Republic of China signed a memorandum on research, DKNews.kz reports.
During the state visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of trade and economic research. The document was signed on the Kazakh side by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin, on the Chinese side – Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China Wang Wentao.

The memorandum is aimed at further promotion and development of Kazakh-Chinese trade and economic cooperation at a qualitatively new level, including coordination of partnership between research organizations of the two countries.
The document provides for the necessary research, joint analytical and other reviews, exchange of best practices and information between the Public Foundation «Center for Trade and Economic Strategies» (Kazakhstan) and the Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. The research areas are bilateral trade in terms of improving the business environment, developing e—commerce, transit and logistics potential of Kazakhstan and China, improving the institute of special economic zones, «green» development, new energy and other important issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding also provides for the possibility of holding joint events that promote cooperation in the field of trade and economic research and aimed at developing proposals for approaches and mechanisms to increase the potential of mutual trade, promoting innovative development, the use of new technologies, etc.
