The Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs Darkhan Zhazykbayev met with the Minister of Internal Affairs and Local Self-Government of the Republic of the Philippines Benjamin Abalos and the Secretary General of the Eastern Regional Organization of Public Administration Alex Brillantes, who attended the annual conference of the Astana Hub in the field of civil service «Meritocracy. Darkhan Zhazykbayev spoke about the Agency's work on improving public service and stressed the transition to a new culture of public administration.
During the meeting, attention was paid to the issues of training and education of civil servants. The Chairman of the ACSA expressed interest in the models of public administration of the countries of Southeast Asia, research activities in this direction.
Foreign guests invited the Agency to the annual international conference of the Academy of Local Self-Government of the Republic of the Philippines to present Kazakhstan's experience in the field of public service.
Mr. Alex Brillantis also invited the Agency to participate in the annual conference of the regional organization of Eastern Public Administration and suggested considering joining the Agency as a member of the organization.
The parties expressed readiness for further exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of public service.
