With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the UK was held a conference for local business circles and investors titled "Why AIFC is the Ultimate Destination for Foreign Players: Tax Incentives, Business-Friendly Policies, and Robust English Law Framework", organized by law firms "AKHMETOVA Law Firm", "Fieldfisher" and the Kazakh-British Law Association.

The event aimed to inform the UK business community about the role, work and benefits of "Astana" International Financial Center in the formation of large-scale political reforms and a more favorable investment climate in the country.
Speaking at the opening of the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UK M. Ilyassov spoke about the new prospects for Kazakh-British investment and economic cooperation, and also especially noted the active work of AIFC, as well as the Court and the International Arbitration Center, based on the norms and principles of English common law, which especially contributes to the growth of new capital investments from the UK to Kazakhstan. The Ambassador also emphasized the adaptability and resilience of the financial center to a new challenges and to changing global conditions and its ability to protect the interests of investors while maintaining stability and transparency.

The speakers of the event were leading Kazakhstani and British experts and lawyers, including Ms. A.Akhmetova, Managing Partner, "AKHMETOVA Law Firm", Mr. J.Peeroo, Barrister and Arbitrator of British Law firm "36 Stone", Mr. D.Rustambekov, Senior Associate of "Fieldfisher", as well as Mr A.Oldland KC, Partner at "Michelmores" and Founding Member of the AIFC Legal Advisory Council. They spoke about the tools of the financial center, which can help to access global sources of financing, ensure investment protection, build international corporate governance and shared practical cases of using the conditions and privileges created in the AIFC. The conference was moderated by Mr R.Gaissin, Chairman of the Kazakh-British Law Association.
