In Anaheim, California, USA, the General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Cooperation on Accreditation is being held these days. Representatives of Kazakhstan joined the work of this largest international forum: NAC Director General Talgat Momyshev, his deputy Nurlan Shokbarbayev and a representative of the quality management Gulzhan Amanzholova, DKNews.kz reports.
In the greeting of the ARAS co-chairs to 150 participants from dozens of countries, it is noted that this is «the second opportunity of the world's largest regional accreditation community since the founding of APAC in 2019 to come together to discuss topics related to accreditation. Our meetings provide an opportunity to renew our long-standing friendships and professional relationships, as well as provide a platform to overcome shortcomings in our recent experience and learn from each other as we enter the world of... wider use of assessment technologies».
Representatives of Kazakhstan take part in a number of events that are important from the point of view of the integration of our country into the international quality system.

So, on June 29, a meeting was held with the Deputy Chairman of ARAS Raj Nathan and the Chief Executive Officer of the accreditation body of India NABCB Rajesh Maheshwari. The head of the NCA Talgat Momyshev and the head of the Quality Council of India QCI Dzhaksay Shah signed an addendum on the extension of the Agreement dated November 4, 2016 "On technical cooperation between the Quality Council of India QCI and NCA". On the same day, the delegation of Kazakhstan took part in the meeting of the Technical Committee for Validation and Verification of the ARAS General Assembly.

On Thursday, June 29, a meeting of the ARAS MRA Council was held. This abbreviation indicates an Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Conformity Assessment Results between the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The promotion of the MRA Agreement is the main mission of APAC, aimed at ensuring that the results of conformity assessment: test reports, certificates of conformity, inspection reports and other documents are mutually recognized between the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and in other regions of the world. Such mutual recognition reduces the need for repeated testing, inspection or certification, thereby saving time and money, increasing economic efficiency and facilitating international trade.

On June 30, the ARAS General Assembly will be held, at which new member countries of the MRA Agreement, which Kazakhstan signed in 2010, will be represented.
