Kazakhstan and the UN Strengthen Their Partnership

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Kaha Imnadze, Special Representative, Head of United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, DKNews.kz reports.

The Head of State congratulated Kaha Imnadze on his appointment and expressed confidence that he will significantly contribute to developing cooperation between the Central Asian states and the UN.

The President emphasized the importance and relevance of United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and expressed readiness to support further its efforts in ensuring sustainable growth, strengthening stability and security in the region.

In his turn, Kaha Imnadze thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for supporting the activities of the Centre and noted the significant contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening peace and promoting dialogue in the region. As Kaha Imnadze assured, he will try to comprehensively promote fruitful cooperation between the countries of the region.

The current situation in Afghanistan was also discussed during the meeting.
