The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, together with the Kazakh-British Technical University and the State Credit Bureau with the support of financial organizations of Kazakhstan, announces the holding of the KBTU Risk Management Case Competition, DKNews.kz reports.
The final case championship is held on April 8-12, 2024 at the site of the Kazakh-British Technical University.
Students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan are invited to participate. No more than 2 teams from each university can take part, each team has up to 5 people.
The case championship in risk management will be held in the format of developing an analytical service for modeling the risk of borrower default and its presentation.

The teams will be faced with a number of tasks to complete the case, such as: developing a model for assessing the creditworthiness of individuals using machine learning algorithms based on the provided data; development of an interface for using the model, allowing you to enter data and obtain forecasts; argumentation of approaches to model development: which factors have the most significant impact on the assessment of creditworthiness and model forecasts, accuracy and stability of the model.
The event will allow participants to gain practical experience in solving a current business problem, consultations with the best risk managers in the country, crowdsourcing of ideas, and will also expand their professional networking and help open up new career opportunities.
