Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev held talks with Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, DKNews.kz reports.
Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev paid a working visit to Tashkent. During the visit, negotiations were held with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov.
A wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, the supply of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, taking into account seasonality, where specific agreements were reached.
Important attention was paid to monitoring the progress of the Roadmap for the implementation of the instructions of the Presidents of the two countries, given following the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev will travel to Uzbekistan in December 2022, including to increase trade turnover to $ 10 billion.
During the talks, issues of transit and transport policy, modernization of the infrastructure of border checkpoints, cross-border and regional cooperation, as well as preparations for the IV Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were discussed. As a result, a protocol was signed consolidating all agreements, deadlines and measures for their implementation.
The kazakh delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the city's Technology Park, where they discussed with the uzbek side the prospects for expanding uzbek-kazakh industrial cooperation and ties between the business circles of the two countries. It should be noted that the Technopark unites more than 20 high-tech, competitive, export-oriented enterprises.
