On March 7, the Gala Ballet dedicated to International Women's Day will take place on the stage of the Astana Ballet Theater, DKNews.kz reports.

The audience will be presented with a rich program, which will include both masterpieces of the classical heritage and modern choreographic performances performed by leading soloists of the capital's theater. The evening will be accompanied by the theater's symphony orchestra under the direction of maestro Arman Urazgaliev.

The first part of the evening will feature the one-act ballet “Triumph” to the music of Tchaikovsky and choreography by Ainur Abilgazina. According to the choreographer, this production is a celebration of classical art, admiration expressed in the language of academic dance. “Triumph” to the music of Tchaikovsky became Ainura Abilgazina’s first major work on the stage of her native theater.

In the second part of the evening, fans of choreographic art will be able to enjoy a cascade of virtuosic solo and duet ballet numbers against the backdrop of bright costumes and scenery. Thus, fragments from the cult classical and neoclassical performances “Spartacus” by Aram Khachaturian, “Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokofiev, “The Flames of Paris” by Boris Asafiev, the work of the Brazilian choreographer Ricardo Amarante “Love Fear Loss” to the music of Edith Piaf, Charles Dumont and Jacques Brel to the musical accompaniment of solo piano performed by Kuralai Kanapina, as well as the choreographic miniature “Spring Waters” to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov.

“Our festive Gala is a great opportunity to see the modern face of Kazakhstani ballet, young and bright stars who will amaze you with their beauty, sophistication and technical skill. The evening's program turned out to be very rich and varied; in it, we first of all wanted to convey the feeling of the arrival of spring. Gala Ballet, performed by our artists, has become a true manifestation of love for art, beauty and life. We are happy to share these feelings with you and hope that every viewer will be able to feel the same passion and inspiration that we put into our work,” notes Nurlan Kanetov, artistic director of the Astana Ballet Theater.

On March 7, the artists of the Astana Ballet Theater will perform solo on stage: Tatyana Ten, Sundet Sultanov, Wesley Carvalho, Ainur Abilgazina, Natalya Menes, Farhad Buriev, Nazerke Aimukhametova and others.
