The Mass Alert system is designed for the rapid notification of the population in the event of emergencies. In the first phase, the system was launched exclusively for Android users. Almaty residents received the alert in the form of a pop-up message in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English. The message read: "Алаңдамаңыздар. Халықты хабардар ету жүйесіне тексеру жүргізілуде", "Не беспокойтесь. Проводится проверка системы оповещения населения", "Remain calm. The public alert system is being tested".
