A media training session for journalists was held in Almaty, organized by Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan. The main goal of the event was to develop digital skills among journalists and prepare them for working in the rapidly changing media landscape.

The event was opened with a keynote speech by Marlen Sykhayev, President of the Digital Transformation Association and advisor to the shareholder of Freedom Holding on digitalization issues.

He emphasized the importance of digitalization in modern media and shared his vision of the future of journalism amid the rapid development of technology:
"Digitalization is an opportunity. Professional journalism must always be at the forefront of development, and the digital skills that exist today need to keep pace with the times. In the digital space, the task of ensuring that information is transparently and accurately conveyed to the public is already a priority. I am very pleased to be here today because such training sessions provide an opportunity to grow quickly and stay informed. In his presentation, Dmitry Rubtsov, Product Manager for Wireless Technologies at Huawei, highlighted the significant impact of digital transformation on key sectors of the economy, with a particular focus on the potential of 5G technology.

He discussed the vast opportunities that 5G technology offers in the digitalization of various industries, including the media sector. The expert emphasized that the implementation of 5G opens up new horizons for journalists, providing them with access to lightning-fast data transmission, improved capabilities for live broadcasts, and the ability to work with large volumes of information in real-time.

Fifth-generation networks are capable of radically changing the way information is transmitted, improving communication quality, and creating new opportunities for many sectors of the economy. As an invited expert, Aliya Ashim, a well-known specialist in documentary filmmaking, spoke at the event. She discussed storytelling techniques and methods that help journalists create emotionally rich and deep content. The expert noted that in the era of information abundance, it is important not only to convey facts but also to engage the audience in the story, making it understandable and memorable.

One of the key moments of the training was a master class on social media management by Aigerim Yergaliyeva, an SMM expert. In her presentation, she shared current trends in social networks, highlighted important aspects of content creation, and demonstrated how to use modern tools to increase work efficiency.

Equally interesting was the presentation by Maksat Akparov, a digital marketer, who discussed the possibilities of using neural networks in journalism. In his speech, he demonstrated how artificial intelligence capabilities can assist in content creation, process automation, and enhancing editorial efficiency. Training participants learned about modern technologies such as AI-based text and image generation, as well as ways to integrate neural networks into journalists' daily work.
