Adil Mukhamejanov is leaving the position of Chairman of the Management Board of the Central Securities Depository, DKnews.kz reports.
On March 7, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Central Securities Depository has made the decision to terminate the powers of Adil Mukhamejanov as the Chairman of the Management Board of Central Securities Depository JSC effective from March 14, 2025.
Adil Mukhamejanov was appointed as the Chairman of the Central Securities Depository’s Management Board on March 01, 2021. During his tenure, the Central Securities Depository strengthened its position as an infrastructure organization in securities market of Kazakhstan and significantly expanded its client base, reaching a regional level.
Under his leadership, the Central Securities Depository’s Development Strategy of for 2022–2024 was developed and successfully implemented, and the first phase of the transformation of the Central Securities Depository into a local depository hub was completed.
Thus, the Central Securities Depository increased its operational efficiency, expanded its range of new products and services, and reached the regional level by expanding its correspondent and depository links. The number of the Central Securities Depository’s participants grew by 70 %, and the volume and number of financial instruments held in nominal keeping doubled. The number of brokerage accounts in the Central Securities Depository increased more than 25 times during this period, reaching 3.5 million.
The Central Securities Depository’s transformation was carried out in areas such as modernization of IT infrastructure, improvement of client services, and the enhancement of the human resources potential of the Central Securities Depository. Adil Mukhamejanov played an important role in strengthening relationships with key securities market intermediaries.
