Leading Chinese manufacturer of premium hybrid and electric vehicles Li Auto Inc. has announced the signing of a dealership agreement with one of the largest independent dealer networks, DOSCAR GROUP, marking a new stage in the long-awaited expansion of the brand in Kazakhstan’s automotive market.

The agreement was signed by Nestor Wu, Managing Director of International Business at Li Auto, and Yusur Modanov, Chairman of the Board of DOSCAR GROUP.

Both parties noted that this partnership is aimed at developing the local market for modern hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as improving customer service standards in Kazakhstan. The new project represents an important step in strengthening the positions of both companies and expanding the presence of the Li Auto premium brand in the country.

A new Li Auto dealership center will open in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city, becoming the brand’s official hub. Customers will be able to purchase the latest Li Auto models and access a full range of premium services — high-quality maintenance according to international standards, official warranty coverage, genuine spare parts, and accessories.

New opportunities for car enthusiasts

Kazakhstani car enthusiasts will now have access to Li Auto’s current lineup, including the L-series models — L6, L7, and the flagship L9, which have already gained popularity and customer trust in the regional market.

Of particular interest is the Li Auto L6, which has maintained its leadership in sales on the domestic market since its debut on April 18, 2024, reaching over 200,000 units produced by the end of the year.

The flagship Li Auto L9 — the largest and most technologically advanced model in the lineup — features cutting-edge innovations and premium options, including dual-chamber air suspension, an enlarged roof monitor, and heated stone massage seats.

Customers can already place pre-orders and receive consultations from brand representatives via the corporate number “200.”

Li Auto continues to expand its presence beyond China. The growing demand for its models in Kazakhstan confirms the readiness of the local market to embrace more advanced and energy-efficient vehicles.

The story of Li Auto

Li Auto (formerly known as Leading Ideal) was founded in 2015 in Beijing by entrepreneur Li Xiang, one of the pioneers of China’s automotive industry. From the very beginning, the brand focused on developing intelligent hybrid vehicles that combine the advantages of electric power and a gasoline generator — effectively eliminating the key barrier to electric vehicles: limited driving range.

The company’s first mass-produced model, Li ONE, launched in 2019, quickly became a bestseller in China thanks to its high level of comfort, autonomous driving technologies, and advanced energy management system.

Li Auto subsequently introduced the L7, L8, and L9 family, solidifying its position in the premium segment. In 2024, the company debuted the Li L6, designed for a broader audience, making the brand more accessible to consumers.

Today, Li Auto is one of China’s fastest-growing automotive manufacturers. The company actively invests in artificial intelligence, proprietary autonomous driving systems, and next-generation electric vehicles, including the fully electric Li MEGA series and the upcoming Li i6 and Li i8 crossovers.

Kazakhstan — a strategic market for Li Auto

Demand for hybrid and premium vehicles in Kazakhstan has been steadily increasing. The official market entry through the country’s major partner, DOSCAR GROUP, allows customers to access not only vehicles but also world-class service that meets international standards.

Kazakhstan is among the first countries to host official Li Auto dealerships, demonstrating the brand’s confidence in the nation’s infrastructure and consumer potential.

DOSCAR GROUP, which already collaborates with several well-known automotive brands, has built an extensive dealership and service network across Kazakhstan. The company believes that its partnership with Li Auto will open new opportunities for Kazakhstani drivers.

The official opening of the Li Auto dealership center on Al-Farabi Avenue, one of Almaty’s main thoroughfares, is scheduled for November 2025.
