Kazakhstan has signaled that it intends to play a more active role in the global anti-corruption agenda, DKNews.kz reports.
The national delegation took part in the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption, held in Doha and bringing together more than 2,500 participants from 170 countries.

It is one of the world’s key platforms where governments align approaches, share practices and discuss joint actions.
Who represented Kazakhstan
The delegation included representatives of:
- the Anti-Corruption Service of the National Security Committee
- the Prosecutor General’s Office
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In other words, security, diplomacy and oversight institutions worked together.
From declarations to real commitments
Head of the delegation Daniyar Akzhanov reaffirmed:
- Kazakhstan’s firm commitment to the Convention’s principles
- the country’s effort to align national laws and enforcement with international standards
Crucially, the focus is not only on legislation, but on how it actually works in practice.

Systemic reforms and modern tools
Kazakhstan shared updates on institutional reforms within its anti-corruption framework, emphasizing:
- transparency
- prevention mechanisms
- inevitability of accountability

The approach is clear: build systems that make corruption harder to occur in the first place.
Partnership as the key driver
The delegation highlighted readiness to:
- strengthen international cooperation
- exchange best practices
- develop joint inter-agency projects
Because effective anti-corruption efforts rely on dialogue, partnership and innovation.

Kazakhstan’s participation in the conference is not symbolic.
It sends a message: the country is synchronizing with global standards and moving anti-corruption efforts into practical, working mechanisms.
