A key meeting that could give new momentum to cooperation between the two countries was held at Israel’s Ministry of Finance. Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Israel, Daulet Emberdiev, met with Minister Zeev Elkin, who also serves as co-chair of the Kazakhstan–Israel Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.
High-level visits and new agreements in the pipeline
The sides discussed current priorities in bilateral relations and exchanged views on how to strengthen cooperation in the near future. Special attention was paid to upcoming high and top-level visits, which often signal that dialogue is moving to a more active and strategic phase.
Intergovernmental Commission in the spotlight
A major part of the conversation focused on the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled to take place in Israel later this year.
The agenda is expected to include:
- new trade and economic projects,
- practical mechanisms to connect businesses,
- tools to support joint initiatives.
Expanding the legal framework
Another important focus was the expansion of the legal and regulatory framework between the two countries. In practice, this means creating clearer and more predictable rules for companies and investors.
When such agreements are well designed, it becomes easier to:
- launch joint projects,
- attract investment,
- remove unnecessary bureaucratic barriers.
The meeting showed that Kazakhstan and Israel are moving beyond protocol statements. Practical steps are on the table, and they could turn cooperation into one of the more notable economic stories in the region.
