Registration is ongoing for the 12th cohort of Tomorrow School, an IT-focused educational initiative based at the Astana Hub international innovation cluster. Training will take place at the alem.ai International Center for Artificial Intelligence, a unique ecosystem that brings together education, research, startups, and the practical implementation of AI technologies in a single space, DKNews.kz reports.
Tomorrow School is the first peer-to-peer learning school in Kazakhstan, where students acquire digital skills through hands-on practice and collaborative teamwork rather than traditional lectures. The project is aimed at training competitive professionals for the digital economy and the AI-driven labor market.
Strong interest from across the country
Currently, 387 students are enrolled in Tomorrow School, including participants from various regions of Kazakhstan. Since its launch, the school has conducted 11 selection rounds, receiving more than 18,000 applications in total.
These figures reflect the growing demand for practice-oriented IT education and alternative learning formats focused on real-world skills.
How the program works
The core educational program lasts 18 months, followed by an additional 6-month specialization in artificial intelligence. Each participant is free to choose an individual learning path based on personal interests and career goals.
Available tracks include:
- AI Engineering
- DevOps
- Cybersecurity
- Game Development
- Artificial Intelligence
- Software Development
- Other IT and digital disciplines
Learning is organized in a flexible 24/7 format, allowing students to study at their own pace and at a time that suits them.
Real results and career opportunities
Tomorrow School students are already demonstrating strong outcomes. They actively participate in Astana Hub programs, win technology competitions, and receive job offers from companies in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Some students have successfully attracted investment and are now working for international companies, including IT firms in the Middle East and major national corporations within Kazakhstan’s banking sector.
One notable success story is the team led by student Amir Zhakyshev, which received a $50,000 soft-commit investment from Astana Hub Ventures as part of the AI’preneurs program.
Support for regional talent
To ensure equal access to education, free accommodation is provided for talented students from the regions. This support helps remove barriers for young people seeking to enter the IT and AI fields, regardless of their geographic location.
Who can apply
Tomorrow School is open to everyone, regardless of age, education level, or prior experience. Motivation, self-learning ability, and readiness to work in a team are the key criteria.
Applications for the 12th cohort are open until February 13.
Why it matters
As artificial intelligence and digital technologies continue to transform industries, the labor market increasingly values practical skills over formal credentials. Tomorrow School addresses this shift by offering a flexible, hands-on, and results-driven education model that prepares students for real challenges in IT and AI.
