Kazakhstan has officially confirmed its participation in the seventh edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, which will take place from 7 to 11 February 2026 at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai. The competition is regarded as one of the largest and most prestigious tactical events for specialised police units worldwide, DKNews.kz reports.

This year, Kazakhstan will be represented by five teams, including one all-female team, highlighting the country’s strong commitment to tactical excellence and the high level of readiness of its special units.

Back in the fight after a silver finish

Kazakhstan’s participation follows an impressive performance in the previous edition of the tournament. At the sixth UAE SWAT Challenge, Kazakhstan’s Sunkar Team delivered one of the country’s strongest results to date, finishing second overall.

The team collected 470 points, missing the championship by just 10 points. The top spot was claimed by Chinese Police Team B, which finished with 480 points.

This near-victory firmly positioned Kazakhstan among the leading contenders in the global tactical arena.

A global platform for elite tactical units

The UAE SWAT Challenge serves as an international platform where elite police units demonstrate their tactical skills, operational readiness and teamwork, while also exchanging experience and best practices.

The sixth edition of the competition entered the Guinness World Records as the specialised SWAT event with the highest number of participating countries, bringing together teams from 46 nations.

What teams will face

The competition consists of five demanding stages designed to test a wide range of capabilities, including:

  • tactical proficiency;
  • physical endurance;
  • shooting accuracy;
  • teamwork and coordination;
  • rapid decision-making under pressure.

Points are awarded daily, and the overall champion is determined based on cumulative performance across all stages.

Beyond competition, the challenge aims to promote international cooperation, showcase modern rapid-response techniques and assess the real-world operational effectiveness of participating units.

Open to the public and media

The event will be open to the public, allowing spectators to attend and support the teams throughout the competition.

For journalists and media outlets, the UAE SWAT Challenge Media Centre will provide full support, including:

  • official information and press materials;
  • high-resolution photo and video content;
  • interview coordination;
  • access to live broadcast links.

Kazakhstan among the world’s tactical elite

With five teams competing — including a women’s unit — and a strong performance in the previous edition, Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its position among the world’s elite tactical forces. UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 offers another opportunity for the country to prove its capabilities on the global stage.
