Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, held talks with Sodnomtsog Demberel, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, focusing on expanding cooperation between the two countries’ scientific communities, DKNews.kz reports.
The meeting highlighted growing interest on both sides in deepening academic ties and launching joint research initiatives in areas of shared relevance. Among the key topics discussed were collaborative projects in history and archaeology, as well as closer cooperation in the field of climate change research.
Joint Research and Scientist Exchanges
Particular attention was paid to the idea of expanding exchanges of scientists and researchers, which would allow experts from Kazakhstan and Mongolia to share knowledge, methodologies and practical experience. Such exchanges, participants noted, are essential for strengthening national research capacities and fostering innovation.
The two sides also underlined the importance of building stronger links between research institutions, viewing institutional cooperation as a foundation for long-term scientific partnerships.
