Voice Beyond Horizon will showcase Kazakhstan to an audience of over 1.9 billion viewers, DKNews.kz reports.
Kazakhstan’s natural beauty and tourism potential are set to reach one of the largest television audiences in the world. On February 5, the Chinese television giant Hunan TV will air the official premiere of the international music project Voice Beyond Horizon. What makes the project unique is that all filming took place in Kazakhstan, across six different regions of the country.

Initiated by Dimash
Voice Beyond Horizon was initiated by Dimash Qudaibergen and produced in partnership with China’s major media holding Hunan Broadcasting System. The project goes beyond a traditional music show, combining performances with travel and cultural exploration.
Its goal is not only to unite artists from different countries, but also to present Kazakhstan’s landscapes, heritage and tourism appeal to a global audience.

Six regions and more than 7,000 kilometers
Filming took place in:
- Turkistan Region
- Mangystau Region
- Almaty Region
- Akmola Region
- Astana
- Almaty
Artists from Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Malaysia and Serbia took part in the project. In September last year, the participants traveled across Kazakhstan, covering more than 7,000 kilometers as part of the filming journey.

The format allows music to become part of the road, and the road to become part of each artist’s personal story.
Iconic locations of Kazakhstan on screen
The project’s route includes some of Kazakhstan’s most visually striking destinations:
- the ancient city of Turkistan
- the dramatic landscapes of Bozzhyra
- the Caspian Sea coastline
- natural landmarks such as Kaindy Lake and Kobeytuz Lake
- the tourist village of Saty
- Kapchagay Reservoir
- the Shchuchinsk-Burabay resort area
For many Chinese viewers, these places will be a first introduction to Kazakhstan as a travel destination.

Broadcast to billions of viewers
Voice Beyond Horizon will be broadcast:
- in China on Hunan TV, which has an audience of over 1.9 billion people, as well as on the Mango TV digital platform
- in Kazakhstan on the national television channel Qazaqstan
Such reach makes the project one of the largest international media initiatives ever dedicated to promoting Kazakhstan abroad.
Strong institutional support
The project received broad organizational support, including from:
- the national tourism company Kazakh Tourism
- the Ministries of Tourism and Sports, and Culture and Information
- the akimats of Astana, Almaty, and the Almaty, Akmola, Turkistan and Mangystau regions
Sponsors of the project include Qarmet, Kazakhmys, Altyn Almas, and the Nurlan Smagulov Foundation.
Why this project matters
Voice Beyond Horizon is more than entertainment. It serves as:
- a powerful tourism promotion tool
- a form of modern cultural diplomacy
- another step by Dimash in introducing his homeland to the world
Through music, travel and storytelling, millions of viewers will see Kazakhstan not as a distant point on the map, but as a country rich in culture, nature and inspiration.
