Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has held talks with Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, focusing on expanding trade, investment and transport cooperation between the two countries, DKNews.kz reports.
The meeting highlighted Kazakhstan’s growing interest in strengthening ties with Southeast Asia’s largest economy.

During the talks, the sides discussed current trade figures and opportunities for expanding economic partnership.

- bilateral trade turnover reached 244.7 million dollars in 2025
- trade volume totaled 31.5 million dollars in January–March 2026

The meeting noted that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto have recently held several meetings on international platforms.
