Astana and Windhoek are expanding diplomatic dialogue. Namibia’s new ambassador, Monica Nashandi, has begun her mission with an agenda covering politics, trade, and cultural and humanitarian ties, DKNews.kz reports.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Isagaliyev received copies of credentials from Monica Nashandi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia, accredited concurrently to Kazakhstan.

Trade becomes one of the priorities of the new mission
During the meeting, the two sides discussed further development of relations between Kazakhstan and Namibia across several areas.
The economic agenda focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation. No specific projects, companies, trade volumes, or potential investment agreements were announced.
At this stage, the two countries are therefore defining priorities for further engagement rather than announcing finalized commercial deals.
Political dialogue is expected to intensify
Developing political contacts between Astana and Windhoek was another part of the agenda.
Welcoming the new ambassador, Arman Isagaliyev expressed confidence that Monica Nashandi’s diplomatic mission would contribute to further strengthening the traditionally friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Nashandi will represent Namibia in Kazakhstan on a concurrent accreditation basis.
Cultural and humanitarian ties are also on the agenda
Kazakhstan and Namibia intend to develop cooperation beyond political and economic contacts.
The meeting also covered cultural and humanitarian cooperation, although specific projects and formats in this area have not yet been announced.
This gives the bilateral agenda a broad scope, ranging from contacts between government institutions to trade and humanitarian initiatives.
Astana and Windhoek to continue cooperation internationally
At the end of the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their readiness to maintain active engagement in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

This indicates that Kazakhstan and Namibia intend to develop not only direct diplomatic contacts but also cooperation on international platforms.
Kazakhstan has also been gradually expanding political and economic ties with African countries. We previously reported on Kazakhstan and Kenya discussing broader cooperation in politics, trade and the economy.
For Kazakhstan-Namibia relations, the next key indicator will be which concrete projects and initiatives emerge during Monica Nashandi’s diplomatic mission.
