A republican scientific and practical conference with the participation of foreign specialists Life after Сovid-19 was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The large-scale event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Famous domestic and foreign scientists, doctors, researchers, teachers, students, graduate students and young scientists of universities and research centers took part in its work. During the conference, the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev made a welcoming speech.
The head of the university noted that the advanced experience of developed countries shows that technological valleys are being created on the basis of the trinity of science, education and innovative production on the basis of large universities.
“To give a serious impetus to the reforms designated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Al-Farabi KazNU is starting to implement a large investment project to create the Al-Farabi Scientific and Technological Valley, which includes IT, innovation and biomedical clusters ... Head of the Department of Public Health of Almaty (Kazakhstan) Nariman Tabynbayev, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of KazNU named after al-Farabi, professor, MD Zhanna Kalmataeva, President of the Academy of Clinical and Fundamental Medicine of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Department of Phthisiopulmonology, KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarova, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Talgat Muminov, as well as famous scientists from the USA, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Russia and leading domestic scientists.
Within the framework of the conference, plenary and breakout sessions, thematic symposia were held, where scientists discussed topics related to the new coronavirus infection, effective methods of treatment, diagnosis and prevention, as well as issues of rehabilitation of patients with coronavirus infection.
So, in her speech, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of "HIV Infection and Associated Diseases" of the National Center for Continuing Education "PROFESSIONAL" NC NOP Zhanna Trumova dwelled on the features of epidemiology, immunopathogenesis, clinic and targeted therapy based on scientific research on the COVID pandemic -nineteen. “Coronavirus infection has a ripple pattern and to date there has been a major breakthrough in containing the pandemic. A large-scale vaccination campaign has begun, the whole world is making attempts to translate the coronavirus infection into a manageable form, ”said Zhanna Trumova.
The work of the conference continued in the framework of breakout sessions, where speakers also discussed issues of epidemiology, clinic and diagnosis of COVID-19 infection, vaccine prevention, multi-inflammatory and post-covid syndrome, and also touched upon the problems of analyzing laboratory algorithms and test results of COVID-19. Particular attention was paid to the issue of providing medical care to children and pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-day online conference was attended by about 600 people.
