Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Kazakhstan Selim Khazbievich. During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of long-term cooperation and partnership, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
In his speech, the rector of the university Zh. Tuimebayev noted that in the process of Kazakhstan's advancement into the world community, Poland plays a significant role and is our important partner.
“The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan makes a great contribution to the development of international cooperation in the field of science, education and culture. The partnership between our countries continues to develop actively ", - said the head of the university,
Today KazNU closely cooperates with 18 universities in Poland. Among them are Warsaw University, Adam Mickiewicz University, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Lodz University, G. Koszalin University of Technology, Opolskiy University and other universities.
Over the past three years, under the academic mobility program, more than 150 students and undergraduates of KazNU. al-Farabi were trained at universities in Poland, 44 doctoral students - research internships with foreign leaders. Leading professors and scientists from foreign countries, including Poland, come to KazNU within the framework of the program "Attracting foreign scientists to universities in Kazakhstan". They provide scientific guidance to PhD students and give lectures.
In turn, the Ambassador of Poland to Kazakhstan Selim Khazbievich stressed: “The friendly relations between our countries are acquiring new content today. Our side is always ready to support and develop joint scientific and educational projects, facilitate the exchange of experience and expand academic mobility, ”Ambassador Selim Khazbievich said. It should be noted that the Ambassador made a great contribution to the development of Turkic studies at our university. During the talks, the rector expressed his intention to hold joint events with the involvement of leading Polish scholars of Turkic studies in the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Selim Khazbievich also accepted the proposals of the head of KazNU Zh. Tuimebayev on holding joint events with the participation of Polish turkologists and giving lectures to students in the framework of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.
At the end of the meeting, the rector expressed his readiness to support all initiatives in the field of science and education.
