At an expanded session of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, the bill “On Making Amendments and Addenda to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Reduction of the Number of Housing Programmes’ Operators” was considered.
The bill was drafted by order of the Head of State.
It is aimed at ensuring incentives for construction industry entities, further development of mortgage lending, optimization of activities of housing construction operators, and saving budget funds by reducing administrative costs of the existing operators.
The document also envisages regulations for the single housing construction operator on guaranteeing residential mortgage loans; providing guarantees for completion of apartment building construction; funding and implementation of investment projects.
The adoption of the law will allow for further implementation of government efforts aimed at increasing the provision of high-quality and comfortable housing to the country’s population, specifically by supporting the construction industry, creating conditions for a balanced growth in demand and supply on the housing and mortgage lending market.
