The meeting was held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Zhalgas Adilbayev with the Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene.
The Ambassador congratulated Oyun-Erdene on his appointment and on the traditional holiday of Tsagaan Sar (The Mongolian Lunar New Year).
At the beginning of the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat expressed gratitude for the organization of special evacuation flights on February 27, 2021 in the direction of Ulaanbaatar - Almaty and on March 5 – Ulaanbaatar - Nur-Sultan.
In turn, Oyun-Erdene noted that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia has been developing steadily since the establishment of diplomatic relations and expressed actively to interact in all spheres in order to increase the cooperation level.
In this context, the Mongolian side confirmed its readiness to continue working on implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of his predecessor Ukhanaagiin Khurelsukh to Nur-Sultan in October, 2019. In this regard, the head of the Mongolian government proposed to create a working group to step up work in order to effectively implement the agreements reached during the above-mentioned visit.
At the same time, the Prime Minister proposed to consider the possibility of expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation and also expressed interest in exchanging experience in providing the population with affordable housing.
In addition, the parties reached an agreement to organize high-level mutual visits and joint international events in order to expand friendly relations between two states.
Along with this, in a constructive atmosphere, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda in the fields of agriculture, transport, tourism, trade and economic cooperation, as well as coordination of actions at international platforms.
