About Kazakh batyrs and their weapons

Employees of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy held a museum lesson for pupils of the capital kindergarten No. 85 "Meirzhan", Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

During the lesson traditionally held in the format of "ABC-guidebook", kids got acquainted with the letter "B", got an idea of the concept "batyr", learned about Kazakh batyrs and their weapons "bes karu".

The five primary weapons of the batyrs are a sabre, a bow, a spear, a club and a pole-axe. All these weapons are in the collection of the Elbasy Library Museum. Using the exhibits as an example, the children learned about the history of the batyrs of the Kazakh steppe in detail.

In addition, young students learned about the history and significance of Defender of the Fatherland Day and took part in an educational game.

"Employees of the Elbasy Library showed professionalism and a competent methodological approach to lesson-building, demonstrated innovative approaches and methods that are very useful to us. The most important thing is the lively interest of children, their activity, excitement, the pleasure of learning," said G.Abenova, a kindergarten methodologist.
