A three-day visit of the leadership of the world-famous French company “Air Liquide” began in Kazakhstan, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The world leader in the production of technical gases and services for industry and healthcare is represented in more than 80 countries around the world. More than 65 thousand employees work under the management of the French company.
Philippe Christodoulou, Vice-President of Air Liquide met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, the Ministries of Energy and Industry and Infrastructure Development, KAZAKH INVEST, Qazaq Gas and Samruk-Kazyna in the capital city of Kazakhstan.
During the talks, the parties confirmed the strategic nature of cooperation between the two countries and discussed the status of ongoing projects implemented by Air Liquide in Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to the prospects for the development of joint projects in the production of "green" hydrogen, which is of particular importance in the light of Kazakhstan's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
Remind that Air Liquide's clients and partners are Total, ExxonMobil, Shell, Basf, Chevron, Sinopec, BP, ENI, ConocoPhillips, Petrobras other.
It was also noted that this year Kazakhstan and France are celebrating a significant date - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Today, France remains one of the world's leading investors and trade partners of Kazakhstan. The volume of French investments invested in the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan exceeded $17 billion. Mutual trade turnover in 2021 amounted to about $3 billion.
The visit took place following the results of a webinar on the development of hydrogen energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France, jointly with “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC and the French association of entrepreneurs MEDEF.
