Kazakhstani musicians performed in the Austrian capital on the stage of the Vienna Konzerthaus, one of the most famous concert venues of classical music in Europe, as well as in Klagenfurt, one of the most popular cities in Austria, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The concert program was organized as part of the celebration of the Republic Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Austria by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Vienna together with the Kazakh National University of Arts.
In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria Alibek Bakayev stressed the importance of further development of Kazakh-Austrian relations in various areas of cooperation, including in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
In turn, Department Director of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, former Austrian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Gerhard Sailler, highlighted the leading role of Kazakhstan in Austria's relations with the Central Asian region.
The high point of the evening was the performance of the People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rector of the Kazakh National University of Arts - Aiman Mussakhajayeva, accompanied by the Eurasian Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Aidar Torybayev.
The national instrument – dombra, in the virtuoso performance of the ensemble «Serper», also delighted the local public.
Connoisseurs of music had the opportunity to connect with the classical works of such great composers as Richard Wagner, Sergei Prokofiev, as well as with the works of famous Kazakh composers, including Akhmet Zhubanov, Tles Kazgaliyev and Gaziza Zhubanova.
The concerts aroused great interest among residents and guests of the Alpine Republic.
