On 30 May 2023, Kazakh Ambassador to Latvia Timur Primbetov met with Katarina Platere, Director of the First Department of Bilateral Relations of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DKNews.kz reports.
A detailed exchange of views on topical issues of Kazakh-Latvian cooperation took place.
T.Primbetov informed a high-ranking Latvian diplomat about the outcome of the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu to Brussels (14-15 May 2023) and the agreements that have been reached with the leadership of the European Union.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the upcoming events in Kazakhstan and Latvia: the Astana International Forum (June 8-9, 2023) and the regional visit to Latvia of the business mission of representatives of the transport sector and business community of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries under the auspices of the USAID programme of trade in Central Asia (June 12-16, 2023).
It should be noted that the Latvian delegation headed by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, Kaspars Gerhards, will take part in the Astana International Forum.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their interest in and commitment to the comprehensive strengthening of relations between the countries across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation.
