The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Hungary took part in the closing ceremony of the Scholarship Master's Program in Agriculture, which is implemented jointly by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), DKNews.kz reports.
Alumni of the project were students from Kazakhstan, Philippines, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana and others who studied at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Gödöllö) in such specialties as crop production, animal husbandry, agricultural ecology, biotechnology, water resources, etc.
The ceremony was opened by Dr. Oszkár Ökrös, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, the participants were given a presentation on the structure of the food chain control body in Hungary, the strategic role of plant genetic resources, and the role of the Ministry of Agriculture in the development of irrigation. The students also received letters of recommendation on behalf of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.

Since 2007, Hungary has been a partner of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals through an international agricultural scholarship program covering nearly 50 countries.
