At the Cotroceni Palace was held a ceremony to present credentials by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali to the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, DKNews.kz reports.
During the conversation after the ceremony, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev and confirmed Astana's interest in further strengthening and expanding long-term co-operation with Bucharest.
The Ambassador familiarised the Romanian leader in detail with the key political and socio-economic transformations in our country, implemented within the framework of the Address of the Head of State "Economic course of a Just Kazakhstan".
Highly appreciating the existing potential of Kazakh-Romanian cooperation, drew special attention to the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries in the sectors of energy, agriculture, nuclear and mining industries, digitalisation, as well as transport and logistics, including the development of the Middle Corridor.
In turn, the President of Romania K.Iohannis congratulated the Kazakh diplomat on the start of his official mission in Romania and expressed readiness to further strengthen relations with Kazakhstan - an important political and trade partner of Romania in the Central Asian region.
The interlocutors also discussed the schedule of upcoming international events.
At the end of the meeting K.Iohannis wished the Ambassador success in further strengthening relations between Kazakhstan and Romania and conveyed his best wishes to the leadership and people of Kazakhstan.
