The delegation of the Almaty NIS of the chemical and biological direction returned from the USA. In Boston, at the XVI international MIT MODEL UNITED NATIONS conference, organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, our guys (students of the Intellectual School) represented the country.

More than 300 delegates from more than 50 countries met at the large-scale forum. NIS students performed at the same podium with representatives of the best schools in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, China, Australia, Poland, Sweden, China, South Korea. The students discussed topical issues of the global world and represented the position of specific countries in dozens of UN Model committees.

Three days gave Kazakhstanis a great experience of successful cooperation and constructive dialogue with foreign peers.

In each committee, we acted as delegates of the MUN movement, created for young people on the model of the United Nations. We discussed the most pressing issues that the world is currently concerned about, and defended the position of the chosen country. Most of the participants are English–speaking, there are many students among them, so it was a great responsibility for us to rise to the prestigious podium and speak in the main official language of the United Nations. I think that we have fulfilled our task with dignity. Dinmukhamed Kusherbayev, a student of the 10th grade

It is symbolic that the NIS delegation was lucky enough to participate in the conference at the famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the country where the MUN movement first originated, it was in the United States that colleges first began to model the work of the American Senate. Today, thousands of pupils and students around the world take part in the MUN program every year from school to university. Many of today's leaders in the fields of law, public administration, business and the arts participated in the Model UN program during their studies.

An impressive event of the American visit was a campus tour of Harvard University, where the children saw with their own eyes the life of the most prestigious university in the world.
