A joint venture between JSC "Kazpost" and the Chinese company "YTO Express Co." has opened in Almaty.

The launch of the joint venture for the delivery of postal items marks the first step in the strategic partnership of these companies, aimed at developing e-commerce, expanding trade exchanges, and creating a logistics hub between Central Asia and Europe.

E-commerce is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy, adding approximately $7 trillion to the global GDP annually. Therefore, Kazakhstan pays special attention to the development of e-commerce. The Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" has created significant opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between JSC "Kazpost" and "YTO Express Co."

This Chinese public logistics company is among the top ten largest logistics companies in the country and is in the top five largest express delivery companies in China. Its headquarters is located in Shanghai. YTO Express courier delivery operates in all major cities in mainland China, as well as in Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

During the ceremonial event at the "SOUTH" Information and Logistics Center, the technological process of postal item integration was demonstrated with the participation of top company managers. The project is focused on direct delivery of e-commerce goods from major Chinese online stores to Kazakhstan.

By integrating postal services, it is possible to reduce the amount of manual labor and human errors associated with mail processing. This also allows for savings on postal expenses, printing, and storage by digitizing mail and sending it electronically whenever possible. Postal service integration also helps track and manage postal resources, avoid delays and losses, and comply with postal rules and safety standards. Additionally, postal service integration enables faster and more personalized service to clients.

Speakers at the event also mentioned that postal service integration can automatically perform the entire process. It is sufficient to connect your online store to the service and configure mail parameters and templates.

When a purchase is made, the service automatically generates and sends a personalized card and coupon to the client's address. The service also provides tracking and analytics of the postal campaign, such as the number of cards delivered, opened, and redeemed, and their impact on sales and retention rates. Thus, the postal company saves time and money, increases customer satisfaction, and develops its beneficial activities.

JSC "Kazpost" Chairman of the Board, Asel Zhanasova, highlighted the significance of this event, stating:

This important event was preceded by extensive work that united the employees of the two companies into a cohesive and united team. Thanks to their efforts and high-tech solutions, IT integration was created. With the Chinese partner, the construction of a distribution center in Almaty is planned, supported by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The joint venture became possible thanks to the Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation signed in Beijing last year, aimed at strengthening trade and logistics ties between China, Central Asia, and Europe.

This partnership is particularly relevant in the context of expanding trade and economic cooperation in the region. The joint venture for the delivery of postal items will ensure the prompt processing of goods destined for the EU, EAEU, and Central Asia. The implementation of intelligent IT solutions will fully automate logistics processes and provide customs support for deliveries. The construction of high-tech multimodal warehouses in Almaty, Turkestan, Aktobe, and Almaty region, as well as the extensive network of JSC "Kazpost" branches, will create a base for various marketplaces. JSC "Kazpost," in collaboration with YTO Group, opened an enterprise with the ability to handle e-commerce goods, including storage, customs clearance, and servicing all processes to ensure the accessibility of e-commerce goods. Additionally, a warehouse with an area of 40,000 square meters will increase the volume of shipments from China to the European Union, Central Asia, and the EAEU, optimize air cargo routes, and create air hubs in Kazakhstan. JSC "Kazpost" acts as a customs representative for YTO Express Group in processing customs declarations for export-import operations. JSC "Kazpost" has taken a confident step to become a logistics and trade hub and a key player in the development of cross-border e-commerce and cargo transportation between China and Kazakhstan.
