On October 4th and 5th, the highly anticipated premiere of the ballet triptych "Sacred Dances," created in collaboration with Almaty Theatre, will take place on the stage of the "Astana Ballet" theatre, DKnews.kz reports

Director-choreographer Mukaram Avakhri and the talented soloists of the "Astana Ballet" theatre explore the theme of spiritual connection through time, expressed through the language of contemporary dance. The ballet, consisting of three parts—"The Wedding," "QASH," and "Rukh"—is conceived as a multilayered piece, intertwining various cultural and historical dimensions.

"The Wedding", set to the music of Igor Stravinsky, unveils the hidden thoughts and emotions of the newlyweds, where the wedding becomes not just a celebration but a profound ritual. This performance once again reveals the symbolism and power of one of Stravinsky’s most iconic works.

"QASH" is a reflection on a culture that does not conform to defined boundaries and is always in motion. The history of peoples is an eternal improvisation, where every moment is filled with meaning. This part features the composition "Le Retour de Molla Nasr’din" by the Chemirani group, with a vocal performance by Mushtari Islamova. The artistic concept, developed by Guzel Zakir, enhances this section with a unique visual style that amplifies the impact of what is happening on stage.

"Rukh", set to the music of Abylai Abilqasymuly, the Bugarabu group, and a vocal performance by Venera Urazbekova, immerses the audience in the atmosphere of past epochs, filling the stage space with a sense of the sacred and the unknowable. The contrasts, sometimes seeming incompatible, intensify the effect of an enthralling journey through time.

The triptych "Sacred Dances" is an immersion into the world of spiritual and cultural values, as well as an invitation to inner dialogue and a search for answers to eternal questions of who we are and why we are here. Despite the minimalism in the set design, the triptych impresses with its visual richness, vivid symbols, and imagery.

The incredible musical rhythms, expressive costumes, and the mastery of the artists of the "Astana Ballet" theatre create an atmosphere that allows the audience to immerse themselves in the realm of sacred dance, experiencing deep unity with the storyline of the performance, feeling like a part of the journey through time and cultures.
