Kazakhstan Showcases Its Investment Potential in South Africa

Kazakhstan's Investment and Economic Opportunities Presented to Business Leaders of Southern Africa, DKNews.kz reports.

A roundtable showcasing Kazakhstan’s investment potential and prospects for bilateral economic cooperation was held in the capital of South Africa. The event brought together representatives of the business community, investment institutions and the media from South Africa, Namibia, and Mozambique.

Opening the meeting, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of South Africa, Yerkin Akhinzhanov, highlighted Kazakhstan’s ongoing large-scale political and economic reforms aimed at enhancing the resilience of the national economy and creating a favorable environment for investors. He emphasized that the country’s strategic priorities include fostering innovation and technology, diversifying the economy, and expanding cooperation with international partners.

The Ambassador gave participants a detailed overview of Kazakhstan’s key areas of socio-economic development, underscoring the significant potential of sectors such as transport and logistics, agriculture, tourism, metallurgy, and mining. Special focus was made on the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the country’s network of special economic and industrial zones, which offer investors a broad range of incentives and support mechanisms.

Following the meeting the business representatives discussed specific avenues for future collaboration. The parties expressed a strong interest in continuing constructive dialogue to strengthen partnerships and develop mutually beneficial projects.
