Kazakhstan and Serbia explore new avenues for economic cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Serbia Madi Atamkulov met with Serbia’s Minister in charge of the development of international economic cooperation, Nenad Popovic. The meeting focused on the current state of Kazakh-Serbian relations and practical steps to further strengthen bilateral economic ties, DKNews.kz reports.

Trade, digitalization and logistics in focus

During the talks, Madi Atamkulov briefed his counterpart on key issues on the agenda of Kazakh-Serbian cooperation, drawing attention to promising areas for deeper interaction across various sectors. Among the priority topics were the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, the exchange of experience in the field of digitalization, and opportunities for Serbian companies to participate in Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics sector.

The Kazakh diplomat also emphasized the importance of intensifying direct contacts between the business communities of both countries, noting that stronger business-to-business ties could help diversify mutual trade turnover and stimulate joint projects.

Serbia ready to support closer cooperation

Nenad Popovic, in turn, gave a positive assessment of the steady development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia. He stressed that Serbia’s leadership places great importance on strengthening relations with friendly Kazakhstan and views the partnership as both stable and promising.

In this context, the Serbian minister expressed readiness to provide the necessary support for the further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation, including the practical implementation of agreements already reached between the two countries.

Concrete plans for the next stage

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides exchanged concrete plans for the upcoming period. These initiatives are aimed at giving additional impetus to the dynamic development of Kazakh-Serbian relations and moving cooperation toward more result-oriented and practical outcomes.

Observers note that the focus on trade, digital solutions and logistics reflects a shared interest in building a modern and diversified economic partnership between Kazakhstan and Serbia.
