Nissan is officially returning to the Kazakhstani automotive market. Orbis Auto Group, the brand’s official distributor in Kazakhstan, has announced a full relaunch of Nissan, marking a new chapter for the Japanese automaker in the country, DKNews.kz reports.

The relaunch goes beyond simply resuming sales. It includes the restart of official vehicle supplies, a phased expansion of the model lineup, the development of the dealer network, and the organization of sales and after-sales service in full compliance with Nissan’s global standards.

The first vehicles under the relaunch program have already arrived in Kazakhstan. The renewed lineup opens with two key models: the new-generation Nissan Qashqai and the seventh-generation Nissan Patrol.

A phased strategy and direct global supplies

According to Orbis Auto, Nissan’s model range for Kazakhstan will be significantly updated and expanded over the course of the year, with a focus on more modern and technologically advanced vehicles. New cars will be supplied directly from Nissan production facilities in Japan, Europe, and the United States, ensuring consistent quality and specification.

Dmitry Panasov, Director of Nissan Distribution in Kazakhstan, said the lineup for the local market was agreed jointly with the manufacturer, and that the relaunch deliberately begins with two strong models.

“Nissan’s return to Kazakhstan is a comeback with a clear strategy and a focus on what really matters to customers: up-to-date models, transparent purchasing conditions, and high-quality service. We will expand the lineup step by step. We are starting with the new Patrol and Qashqai, and by the end of the year the Nissan range in Kazakhstan will include four models,” Panasov said.

He added that Nissan Pathfinder and Nissan X-Trail are expected to join the lineup later in the year, with their market debut planned for autumn.

New Nissan Qashqai: already on sale

The new-generation Nissan Qashqai for the Kazakhstani market is produced in the United Kingdom and is already available at official Orbis Auto dealerships.

In Kazakhstan, Qashqai is offered in three trims: S, SV, and SL, with recommended retail prices starting from 20.4 million tenge.

The model is powered by a 150-horsepower gasoline engine paired with an XTRONIC CVT, and is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on the version.

Available features include:

  • adaptive LED headlights
  • 3D around-view cameras
  • panoramic roof
  • advanced driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist
  • a 12.3-inch multimedia display
  • BOSE premium audio system

Seventh-generation Nissan Patrol: the flagship returns

The seventh-generation Nissan Patrol, produced in Japan, is expected to arrive at dealerships in early February. In Kazakhstan, the model will be available in four trim levels: T1, T2, Titanium Plus, and Platinum City.

Recommended retail prices start from 54.9 million tenge.

Patrol is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with direct fuel injection, delivering 425 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Depending on the trim, features include:

  • adaptive air suspension
  • climate control with biometric cooling
  • ventilated and massage seats
  • a multimedia system with dual 14.3-inch screens
  • Klipsch premium sound system

Where to buy Nissan in Kazakhstan

At the initial stage, Nissan sales will be conducted through two Nissan & Infiniti Orbis Auto dealerships located in Astana and Almaty.

As part of the relaunch, a new Nissan dealership has opened in Almaty at 12/3a Kuldzhinsky Tract, offering consultations, test drives, vehicle sales, and after-sales service in line with Nissan standards.

Orbis Auto says the Nissan dealer network in Kazakhstan will be expanded gradually across other regions.

What the relaunch means for the market

Nissan’s return strengthens competition in the crossover and full-size SUV segments in Kazakhstan. With direct factory supplies, an updated model lineup, and a renewed focus on service quality, the brand aims to rebuild customer confidence and secure a long-term presence in the market.

This relaunch positions Nissan not as a comeback brand of the past, but as a modern player with a clear strategy for the future.
